IxD Project: Production Process (Storyboard & User Flow)

Storyboard

User Flow

At first, layering of lines will appear on the floor, inviting the user to step on it. When the user steps in the middle, the lines will start to expand. Animations of crows and audio will play. The first artifact will last for 45 seconds. Within 45 seconds, the lines will move according to the user's movement but the movements are very subtle. Three different artifacts have different feedback of line movements.

After 45 seconds, the first artifact will slowly fade out while the second artifact will slowly fade in. The animation of the forming of the city will also appear. The lines will move accordingly to the movement of the user. By this time, the lines will move more vigorously as the user steps on them. The graphic of the city will remain static.

After 45 seconds, the second artifact will slowly fade out while the third artifact will slowly fade in. The animations of bird/cargo ship will play.

After 45 seconds, if the user remains on the artifact, it will keep on looping. If the user leaves, it will return back to the original small circles.

Second User Flow

For the previous user flow, it was found that the animations took too long and the looping of minicircles are unnecessary. Thus, I had to make some adjustments to it.

The animations of the three circles will keep on looping and stays on the floor. Each circle will last for 20 seconds. Each circle will fade in and out accordingly to transit to one another.
